The picket of the Committee for support of the national movement of Southern Azerbaijan scheduled for June 1 was prevented. The employees of the police department of Sabail district prevented the action, Trend reports.
The Committee for support of the national movement of Southern Azerbaijan was planning to visit Martyrs Avenue first and then, to hold a picket in front of the Iranian Embassy.
The activists were prevented by police while going to the Martyrs Avenue. After the talks with police, they were allowed to visit Martyrs Avenue. However, they werent allowed to hold a picket in front of the Iranian Embassy.
The Committee for support of the national movement of Southern Azerbaijan was established by the Congress of World Azerbaijanis, Single Azerbaijan Union and the National Renascence Movement of Southern Azerbaijan.
