Removal of Andreas Gross from position of co-rapporteur of PACE for Azerbaijan resulted from his biased attitude to Azerbaijan, Trends special correspondent reports quoting MP Samed Seyidov, head of Azeri delegation to PACE.
Seyidov stated his confidence that new co-rapporteur will establish cooperation at the highest level.
Member of Azeri delegation to PACE Mp Ganira Pashayeva said she knows new co-rapporteur Tony Lloyd as a honest person.
В"Mr Lloyd is one of influencing and active members of the Council of Europe. He is famous for his speeches and positions true to the CE principles. He is a very principal and unbiased man and I think he will be committed to truthВ", - she added.
She said Mr Lloyd always had good feelings about Azerbaijan.
