Azerbaijan has always highly organized its activities in its fight against corruption, the Head of Azerbaijani delegation .in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission for International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Samad Seyidov told Trend, expressing his attitude towards the results of monitoring of the Council of Europe regarding corruption in Azerbaijan.
It should be mentioned that the report of the Interstate Group for the Fight Against Corruption of the Council of Europe was announced on September 20. The authors of the report emphasized that the corruption remains one of the key problems of Azerbaijan. In addition, they underlined their assistance in preparing an anti-corruption strategy of the Azerbaijani Government.
Seyidov emphasized that the Council of Europe considers the law commendable with regards to this issue. There are several problems with its implementation as it is a difficult process. The experts of the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan will participate in this process, Seyidov stressed.
He spelled out that he doesn't believe that discussions will be held in this direction. As this problem is of concern for us and the Council of Europe, we are always ready for constructive dialogue and exchange of vies, Seyidov concluded.
