Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister to Attend NATO Forum

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend K.Ramazanova / The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan will attend the Forum of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council which will take place in Oxride (Macedonia).

The meeting scheduled for the 28-29 June will be attended by nearly twenty Ministers of NATO member- countries and partners. The forum will be participated by the Foreign Ministers, Defense Ministers and Ministers of Economy. Several participating countries will be represented by the Deputy Ministers or ambassadors to NATO countries.

One of the topics of the discussions will be energy security.

Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council comprises of forty-nine members, with twenty-six NATO member-countries and twenty-three partner countries. The first official meeting took place in Finland in 2005 and was attended by seven Ministers. The key topics of the forthcoming forum will regard Kosovo, Afghanistan and energy security.
