Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend E.Huseynli / The Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey confirmed an action plan in connection with the 4th year anniversary of the death of former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev.
The embassy said on 7 December that on 12 December the teachers and pupils of the Heydar Aliyev school in Ankara, Azerbaijani students studying in Turkey, representatives of public-political fields in Turkey and the media will be visiting the Heydar Aliyev Park in the New Quarter of Ankara district.
Afterwards the Embassy will host a gala in memory of the Great Leader. Zakir Hashimov, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey, will speak about Heydar Aliyev's activities. Suleyman Demirel, the 9th President of Turkey, high ranking officials of Turkey, MPs, representatives of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, heads of embassies active in Turkey, Azeri compatriots, students, media representatives are invited to attend the ceremony.
In addition, the Embassy is preparing material for the Turkish media, films dedicated to life and the activities of Heydar Aliyev.
Heydar Aliyev died on 12 December 2003.
