The Georgian Gurjaani District Prosecutor's Office accused the director of the public school in the Balghojiani village in Kvareli district, Zurab Tabagari, of rape attempt.
The Kakheti Information Center reported that Tabagari is charged under articles "forced sexual intercourse with a minor" and "malicious use of official position."
Tabagari pleaded guilty under the article of fraudulent use of official position, and denied other charges.
The prosecutor's office transferred the case to the Kvareli District Court. Date of the trial process has not yet appointed, presumably hearings will begin in late January.
Tabagari was arrested in September 2010 on the basis of school teachers' statements. They accused him of sexual harassment in relation to school student. The location of victim is still unknown.
The Kakheti Information Centre's journalistic investigation found that teachers, who reported to the law-enforcement agencies on the director, worked for the ruling party during the local elections and were members of electoral commissions. The candidate of the National Council won the elections in the Balghojiani village, and teachers accused Tabagari of such a result.
