Uber in Baku has launched its new UberSELECT service offering rides in comfort cars.
The new service is aimed at an audience that prefers spacious and comfortable vehicles and high quality service, but at an affordable price.
The cost of a trip with UberSELECT in Baku will be 0.8 Azerbaijani manats base fare plus 0.03 manats per minute and 0.4 manats per kilometer. The cost of a minimum trip around the city will be only 2.5 manats.
UberSELECT will offer a wide choice of vehicles for its Baku users, in particular, Kia Optima, Hyundai ix35, Toyota Camry, Ford Mondeo, Mazda 6, Skoda Octavia, etc.
To use UberSELECT, users will need to move the slider at the bottom of their smart phone screen.
“Baku is a special city for Uber with the service that has been best adapted to the needs of city residents,” said Alexei Stakh, general manager of Uber Common CIS region. “Earlier this year we have significantly reduced the prices of our core service uberX - today in Baku uberX is the most affordable way to get around the city by car.”
“In July this year, we introduced an additional payment option in cash for the service to be available to more users. Today, we are launching an additional service that offers users a completely new class of service at affordable price,” Stakh added.
On the occasion of the new product launch, Uber offers discounts to all Baku users – from now until Nov. 15 users can use BAKUSELECT promo code in order to receive a 20-percent discount for 10 trips on UberSELECT. The maximum size of discounts for each trip is 1.50 manats.
