Ankara to host Turkish Congress in Sept

The Turkish Prime Minister Rejep Tayyub Erdogan approved an idea on rehabilitation of traditional annual meeting of leaders of the world Turkic-speaking countries, the Turkish daily Yeni Chag writes. Abdulkhalig Chai, the former Turkish Minister for Turkic countries and Turkic speaking nations, met with the Prime Minister.

Trend special in Turkey reports during the talks the Prime Minister promised to render financial assistance to the event and gave his preliminary agreement on participation in the meeting.

The Turkish Congress plans to meet in the Turkish resort Antalia on 18-20 September 2006.

The similar meetings are held once in 5 years.
