BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. Azerbaijan's agricultural output amounted to 6.391 billion manat ($3.7 million) from January through July 2022, which is higher by 21.25 percent compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports via a report of the State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, output in livestock increased by 2.7 percent and in crop production by 3.4 percent.
A total of 2.8 million tons of grains and legumes were harvested from an area of 932,900 hectares (94.96 percent of the total sown area from January through July 2022. The average yield was 30.6 quintal per hectare).
Meanwhile, 677,000 tons of potatoes were harvested (an increase of 4.14 percent over the year), 1.1 million tons of vegetables (an increase of 0.91 percent), 388,700 tons of melons (an increase of 1.78 percent), 308,9000 tons of fruits and berries (an increase of 5.72 percent), 7,800 tons grapes (an increase of 1.3 percent), 621,300 tons of green tea (a decrease of 21.95 percent).

Azerbaijan produced 317,100 tons of meat, 1.2 million tons of milk and 1.1million chicken eggs from January through July 2022. The production of meat increased 2.99 percent, milk - by 1.69 percent, chicken eggs - by 3.96 percent compared to January - July 2022.
