Türkiye reveals volume of cargo transshipment via local ports from Croatia for 3M2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. The Turkish ports handled over a million tons of cargo from Croatia from January through February 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.

According to the ministry, the ships flying the Turkish flag handled 20,691 tons of cargo from Croatia through the local ports, whereas the ships flying the flags of other countries carried over 1.2 million tons of freight.

During the reporting period, the ships flying the flag of Croatia transported 55,340 tons of cargo via the Turkish ports. Furthermore, the Turkish ports handled 109,360 tons of transit cargo from Croatia from January through February 2023.

A total of 31.9 million tons of cargo were handled by the Turkish ports in March 2023.

During the reporting period, ships flying the Turkish flag transported 2.3 million tons of cargo through the local ports.

"The cargo transshipment by the ships flying the flags of other countries equaled 29.6 million tons," said the statement.

In addition, the Turkish ports handled over 6 million tons of transit cargo in March 2023.

The Turkish ports received 91.5 million tons of cargo from January through March 2023.

Moreover, from January through March 2023, the ships flying the Turkish flag carried 6.4 tons of cargo, whereas the ships flying the flags of other countries transported 85.08 million tons.

In addition, the Turkish ports handled 18.3 million tons of transit cargo from January through March 2023.
