BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. A surplus has been recorded in the state budget of Azerbaijan since the beginning of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the revenues of the country's state budget exceeded 18.7 billion manat ($11 billion) from January through July 2023, which is 4.8 percent more year-on-year.
Moreover, state budget expenditures reached 17.6 billion manat ($10.3 billion) in the first seven months of this year, which is 14.9 percent higher compared to the same period in 2022.
Thus, as of late July 2023, a surplus of 1.1 billion manat ($650 million) was formed in the state budget.
The nominal GDP of Azerbaijan during the specified period amounted to 70.37 billion manat ($41.39 billion).

Meanwhile, the state budget revenues of Azerbaijan increased by 16.2 percent, reaching 30.6 million manat ($18 million), in 2022.
The budget expenditures last year increased by 16.7 percent and amounted to 32 million manat ($18.8 million) compared to 2021. Thus, a budget deficit of 1.3 million manat ($760,000) was formed.
