BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. The average monthly nominal salary of hired workers in Azerbaijan from January through July 2023 increased by 11.3 percent year-on-year and amounted to 925 manat ($544), Trend reports.
The data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan shows that wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 3,571 manat ($2,100) and in the non-oil and gas sector to 874 manat ($514). Salaries of employees of state enterprises amounted to 889 manat ($522), and those of private enterprises were 964 manat ($567).
According to the department, the highest wages were recorded in mining, insurance and finance, information and communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
