BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. Kazakhstan’s agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output amounted to 6.8 trillion tenge ($14.26 billion) over the period from January through September 2022, which is 6.9 percent more compared to the same period of the last year, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Some 6.7 trillion tenge ($14.21 billion) accounted for agriculture alone, including 4.1 trillion ($8.6 billion) accounting for plant growing, and 2.6 trillion tenge ($5.5 billion) - for animal husbandry.
The increase in the agriculture, forestry and fishery gross output during the reporting period was due to the increase in eggs output by 5.3 percent, milk by 1.8 percent, plant growing by 11 percent.
North Kazakhstan region leads by the total value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output, which reached 940.8 billion tenge ($1.9 billion) from January through September 2022, showing a 12.2-percent increase compared to the same months of 2021.
This includes 735.7 billion tenge ($1.5 billion) worth of plant growing output and 201.8 billion tenge ($423.2 million) of animal husbandry output.
Second and third places accounted for Akmola and Turkestan regions.
The value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Akmola region amounted to 863.8 billion tenge ($1.8 billion), which is 16.5 percent more than during the same period of last year.
This includes 621.02 billion tenge ($1.3 billion) worth of plant growing output and 238.9 billion tenge ($500.9 million) of animal husbandry output.
Agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Turkestan region amounted to 741.4 billion tenge ($1.5 billion), which is 1.1 percent more than during the same period of 2021.
This includes 449.1 billion tenge ($941.6 million) worth of plant growing output and 287.2 billion tenge ($602.2 million) of animal husbandry output.
An increase in agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output were observed in 16 Kazakh regions during the reporting period.
