Ganja automobile plant to launch production of communal vehicles

Ganja Automobile Plant (Azerbaijan) and German Haller Company signed a protocol of intention for production of communal equipment on basis of MAZ cars, assembled at the plant in Azerbaijan, director of Ganja automobile plant Hanlar Fatiyev said.

According Fatiyev, representatives of German company will arrive in Azerbaijan March 14 to prepare starting production.

German Haller Company is the leader in production of communal vehicles, especially in garbage collection vehicles. The company was founded in 1871.

Presently, Ganja Plant also manufactures assembling of 25-ton cranes on basis of MAZ cars.

The plant assembles production of Minsk tractor plant for the domestic market. The plant can produce up to 5,000 tractors annually for local market at existing areas upon marketing research.

The contract on assemble and sale of all lorries in Azerbaijan and tractors made by Minsk automobile and tractor plants was signed in Minsk in late November 2006. Assembling is conducted at 15,000-square-meter territory.

Ganja is located in the west of Azerbaijan, 265 kilometers from Baku.
