In February, Azerbaijan recorded 0.65 percent inflation, the Economic Research Center non-governmental organization reported today.
Consumer price index for two months grew by 4.02 percent compared to the same period of 2009, the source reported.

In February, the most significant price increase observed on prices for fruits, vegetables - 4.73 percent, sugar and tea and spices - 1.58 percent. The most significant drop in prices was observed on non-food items, particularly clothing and footwear - 1.04 percent.

Based on the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report, Compared to January in February the inflation rate was 1.1 percent compared to the same period of 2009 - 2.8 percent.
