The Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan and experts from the World Bank (WB) discussed measures to strengthen the capacity of the Chamber within the Corporate and Public Sector Accountability Project (CAPSAP), in accordance with the plan of strategic development of the Chamber, the Chamber reported. The sides agreed on main directions of the action plan.
Discussions were held during head of Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan Heydar Asadov's meeting with the mission of the World Bank, who is visit to Baku. The mission includes the manager on the financial sector Ahmad Moustafa Ndiaye and chief specialist on financial management and head of CAPSAP project Jean Tlin.
The sides discussed the current situation with the CAPSAP project, particularly, strengthening the capacity of the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan, the issues of addressing delays in the project implementation, providing flexibility in carrying out the work, the initial preparatory work in connection with drawing up of technical specifications and other questions.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
