Cost of construction work slightly increases in Azerbaijan

Prices for construction work in Azerbaijan increased by 0.7 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter of 2010, and increased by 1 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period of last year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.

Cost of ground work increased by 0.6 percent in the second quarter compared to the first quarter, while by 1.2 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period of last year.
Road construction in the second quarter rose in price by 1.5 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter of last year. It cheapened by 0.3 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period of last year, the state committee said.

Prices for housing construction during the quarter rose by 0.8 percent, while by 1.5 percent during the year, construction of socio-oriented facilities increased in price by 0.6 percent during the quarter, while by 0.1 percent during the year.

Construction of six and many-storied residential buildings increased in price by 0.8 percent during the quarter, while by 1.5 percent during the year. Construction of five-storied buildings increased by 0.7 percent in the quarter, while the price increased by 1.4 percent during the year. Construction of secondary schools increased in price by 0.6 percent during the quarter, while by 0.9 percent per year, office buildings - by 0.6 percent during the quarter, by 2.1 percent - during the year.
