Tajik National Bank reduced refinancing rate from 8 percent to 6.8 percent per annum, the bank reported.
"Another change was made in view of inflationary pressures, and decrease of external factors impact, and in order to effectively implement monetary policy, lower average interest rates on loans in the banking system," the bank said.
Last time the official refinancing rate in Tajikistan was changed in March 2012. It was decreased from 9 percent to 8 percent per annum at that time.
