Placement of ordinary registered shares of Kapital Bank issued in the total amount of 10 million manat will start on the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) from July 16, the BSE said on Friday.

One million shares at par value of 10 manat each have been issued within the prospectus.

Underwriter of the placement of Kapital Bank's shares will be Ltd. "Çelsi Kapital".

"The bank asked for inclusion of its shares in non-quotation list of the BSE," the report says.

At present, the bank's authorized capital is 40 million manat.

Kapital Bank is the second largest bank in Azerbaijan for volume of its assets and retail deposits as of late 2011.

Kapital Bank has the widest network of branches and largest customer base. Today there are 89 branches and 11 divisions of the bank in the country.

Until the summer of 2008 Kapital Bank was fully state owned. Currently, the main shareholder of Kapital Bank is Pasha Holding, which owns 97.75 percent of shares.

The official exchange rate is 0.7855 manat to $1 on July 13.
