The cooperation between Azerbaijan and France will develop in various directions both in the sphere of economy and in humanitarian spheres, Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said on Nov.26 in Baku at a joint press conference on the results of the seventh meeting of Azerbaijani-French Economic Commission.
"AZAL" CJSC (Azerbaijani Airlines) actively works with the French colleagues in the sphere of aviation security. This cooperation is not confined to the purchase of aircraft. In addition, the Azerbaijani air carrier works with partners from France in the sphere of safe operation of planes, control of aircraft and other spheres.
In addition Azerbaijan actively cooperates with the French side in the sphere of public transport.
"The relevant French companies are interested in participation in the development of the transport infrastructure in the Azerbaijani cities, including the Baku Metro. They have worked out a package of proposals on cooperation. In addition, French enterprises show interest in construction of tram line in Ganja, development of Azerbaijani railways and other projects," the minister of finance said.
