The Kazakh KazMunaiGas - Processing and Marketing company (KMG PM) and the French Air Liquide company signed a memorandum of understanding in field of implementation of a joint project, KMG PM said.
The memorandum was signed within the framework of the business forum during the state visit of French President Francois Hollande to Kazakhstan, KMG PM said.
"According to the memorandum, the two sides will work to align conditions of the joint implementation of the project of production and supply of industrial gases for the needs of refineries of Kazakhstan," the message said.
It is planned that the perimeter of the project will include the rigs for the production of industrial gases at all three Kazakh refineries and measures to improve the efficiency of production of industrial gases, KMG PM said.
It is also planned to establish a joint venture between KazMunaiGas - Processing and Marketing and Air Liquide in future, said the message.
"We are interested in cooperation with Air Liquide company, in the use of its experience and technologies in the production of industrial gases for the refineries," said the General Director of KazMunaiGas - Processing and Marketing Daniyar Tiyesov. "The signed memorandum of understanding confirms the readiness of our companies to make every effort for the implementation of the joint project, which carries both technical and economic benefits for our refineries."
The KazMunaiGas - Processing and Marketing JSC is a 100-percent subsidiary of the Kazakh national company KazMunaiGas.
The company owns shares in the Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP (99.53 percent), PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP (49.7 percent), Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP (100 percent), KazMunaiGas Onіmderі LLP (100 percent), Caspi Bitum JV (50 percent), and others.
The main activities of the KazMunaiGas - Processing and Marketing JSC include management of oil refining assets, export of oil and oil products, and the development of retail sales of petroleum products.
