Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar region intends to increase the flow of tourists through the Bayanaul resort area, the region's administration told Trend.

A master plan for the development of the resort area was developed together with the McKinsey & Company international consulting company.

"To facilitate the movement of tourists in Bayanaul, the construction of an airfield for small aircraft was completed. Pavlodar-Bayanaul, Astana-Bayanaul, Karaganda-Bayanaul and Almaty-Bayanaul flights are planned to be launched in 2019. Two heliports have been built," the region's administration noted.

Moreover, the construction of a ski resort at the foot of the Myrzashoky mountain has been completed for the development of year-round recreation in the Bayanaul resort area. The ski resort is planned to be launched in November 2018.

It is worth noting that in September this year, the resort area entered the top 10 priority projects of the Kazakhstan Tourist Map.

As for the tourist infrastructure of Pavlodar region as a whole, there are 37 holiday homes and 56 hotels, two children recreation centers, one motel and five other places of accommodation in the region.

The total number of visitors served by domestic and inbound tourism in Pavlodar region in January-June 2018 amounted to 56,303 people, which is 1.1 percent more than in the same period of 2017 (55,687 people).

To increase the tourist flow to the region, Pavlodar Travel mobile application was developed, which contains the database and description of the attractions of Pavlodar region, as well as information about tourist organizations, hotels and a photo gallery.
