Uzbek company finances plant construction in Kazakhstan

Two cotton processing plants worth more than 6 billion tenge are being built in Kazakhstan's Turkistan region, Kazakh media reported with reference to Turkistan Invest company.

"First plant with a cost of 5.46 billion tenge is being built at the expense of investments by ICC LLP. The facility is located on an area of 13 hectares," the message said.

The production capacity of the plant will be 150,000 tons per year, and its products will be exported to China.

"Currently, the construction of production facilities is underway. The commissioning of the project is scheduled for this November," the company noted.

As for the second plant, its construction is financed by the Uzbek Aikazhy LLP in the amount of 890 million tenge.

"The production facility is located on an area of 10 hectares in the Shardara industrial zone. The capacity of the project will be 50,000 tons per year, " the message said.

The plant's products will also be exported. To date, construction and installation work is underway at the facility, and the launch of the first phase is scheduled for this December.
