Exports of Iran's Razavi Khorasan exceed $1.9B

During the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), 2.42 million tons of goods worth $1.92 billion were exported via customs of Iran's Razavi Khorasan province, Head of Razavi Khorasan Industry, Mines and Trade Organization Raziyeh Alirezaei said, Trend reports referring to the organization.

Alirezaei noted that during the reported period, the exports increased 20 percent in terms of value compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year.

Main goods exported via the province's customs were saffron, light oils and other similar products, she added.

She added that the main export destinations were Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, the UAE, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Spain, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Alirezaei noted that during the period, imports of Razavi Khorasan amounted to 218,000 tons in terms of weight and $285 million in terms of value.

The province's main imports came from Turkey, the UAE, Russia, Uzbekistan, Germany, Tajikistan, Pakistan, China, Switzerland and Afghanistan, she added.

The main imports were cotton, rice, light and heavy freight cars, beans, raw silk, dry milk for babies, tank cars and sesame seeds, she added.
