In January 2019, Azerbaijan imported 2,512 vehicles, which is 2.5 times more than in January 2018, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Of the total number of vehicles imported in January 2019, 2,267 are cars and motor vehicles. This figure increased by 2.5 times over a year.
During the reported period, 215 trucks (2.3 times increase over a year), 18 buses and other motor vehicles hauling ten or more passengers (4.5 times increase over a year) and 12 special-purpose vehicles (12 times increase over a year).
In terms of value, the total import volume of all types of vehicles amounted to $88.45 million. They accounted for 8.65 percent of total imports of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan imported 28,876 vehicles in 2018.
