In the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018-March 20, 2019), Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province exported 73,000 tons of goods for $70 million, Chairman of the province's Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Siyavush Nazari said, Trend reports via IRNA.
Compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2017-March 20, 2018), exports increased by 81 percent in terms of weight, Nazari said.
It's planned to increase the province's non-oil exports to $110 million, he added.
Fruit and vegetable products, technical equipment, cast iron and steel, household goods, rubber items, almonds, air conditioners, wires, dyes, potatoes and dairy products, ceramics, fibers and animal feed are among the main exports of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Nazari said.
The export destinations of the province include Iraq, India, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, the UAE, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the US, Turkey, Syria, Turkmenistan, Sudan, Uzbekistan, Italy, Kuwait and Tajikistan, he added.
Currently, about 1,200 industrial production facilities operate in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.
