In 2019, Sheki Sherab LLC, an Azerbaijani winery, plans to increase exports volumes, the winery’s director Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.

He noted that since the beginning of this year, the plant has sent the first cargo of products to Poland.

“These are small volumes, only 100,000 bottles of wine,” he added. “We have verbal agreements with Polish partners, on the basis of which we ensured the delivery of an insignificant volume of wine to this European market, so that they could assess the quality of our products and determine the volumes of subsequent deliveries.”

The director noted that by the end of the year, the plant plans to export wine products to China.

“Recently, we have taken part in an international exhibition in Shanghai, during which two Chinese companies became seriously interested in our products,” he added. “Our Chinese partners highly appreciated the quality of Azerbaijani wines and want to start importing our products in the near future. In about a month and a half, we plan to start exporting several varieties of white and red wine to the Chinese market. At the same time, the “Bouquet Sheki” brand of wine aroused greatest interest among them.”

He noted that during the upcoming talks with Chinese partners in Azerbaijan, the volumes of exports to China will be determined.

Hasanov added that ten varieties of grape wine were presented at the international exhibition in Shanghai.

Sheki Sherab LLC was founded in 2006 with design production capacity of 280,000 bottles of wine. The company has equipment of the Italian company “Della Toffola.”

There are workshops for receiving grapes, production and bottling of various brands of wine at the plant.

At the same time, the plant has two bunkers for receiving white and red grape varieties. The plant also has two production lines for white and red wines, and one more line for the production of elite wines.
