Oil extraction down in some Kazakhstan's regions

The volume of industrial manufacturing in Kazakhstan increased by 3.2 percent during January-August 2019 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to data of Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.

The increase of manufacturing is observed in 14 regions of the country and the decrease is observed in Kyzylorda region, West Kazakhstan region and Mangystau region.

During the reporting period, the leader by the increase of industrial manufacturing was Shymkent city (increase of 20.3 percent). It is followed by Nur-Sultan city (increase of 15.8 percent) and Kostanay region (13.8 percent).

The manufacturing of cotton-seed oil, non-alcoholic beverages, petrol, kerosene, diesel fuel, liquefied propane and butane has increased in Shymkent.

The manufacturing of non-alcoholic beverages, plastic pipes, preforms and railway locomotives increased in Nur-Sultan, whereas the extraction of iron ore pellets and gold ores, as well as manufacturing of combine harvesters and passenger cars increased in Kostanay region.

The decrease of industrial manufacturing is observed in Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region by 1.2 percent, in West Kazakhstan region by 3.4 percent and in Kyzylorda region by 9.1 percent.

The decrease of oil extraction was observed in Mangystau and Kyzylorda regions, and of gas condensate - in West Kazakhstan region.
