Exports of Georgian products in October increased by 21.2 percent compared to the same period last year, overall, the supply of local products to the export markets has increased by 4.7 percent in the first 10 months of this year, said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Trend reports via Georgian media.
As the minister noted, exports together with infrastructure projects, are the driving force that gradually creates the dynamics of economic recovery.
“We are moving to positive dynamics and exports, including exports of local production, are one of the locomotives of this process. Exports of agricultural products are especially noteworthy, which really reach record levels,” said Turnava.
Georgia has improved its rating points in the Global Prosperity Index, said Turnava.
According to the minister, Georgia received 61.8 percent of the 100 rating scale and maintained its ranking position on 53rd place.
“Despite the COVID pandemic, we have a good position in the index. Until 2012, Georgia was always beyond 60,” said Turnava.
According to Turnava, the mentioned rating reflects the right pathways of Georgia from Poverty to Prosperity.
