BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. There is significant potential for strengthening economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, said Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a joint press conference with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Baku, Trend reports.
"The war between Russia and Ukraine, which has been going on for more than three years, has had a negative impact on our bilateral economic relations. If in 2021 the trade turnover between our countries amounted to about 1 billion dollars, then in 2022 it dropped to 600 million, and in 2023 - to 350 million dollars. However, in 2024 we recorded a 30% increase in trade turnover, reaching 460 million dollars. We believe that the potential for growth in this area is still great," he said.
