Georgian hazelnuts exports up

Georgia has exported 10,848 tons of hazelnuts between August 1 and November 23, which is a 38 percent increase compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports via the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection.

The exports generated $57.2 million in revenue, marking a $48 million increase compared to the same period of 2019.

During the same period, the export price of hazelnuts increased by seven percent said the ministry.

Georgian hazelnuts were exported to these EU countries: Germany (3,131 tons), Italy (2,124 tons), Czechia (594 tons), Spain (330 tons), Poland (320 tons), Lithuania (311 tons), Bulgaria (300 tons), France (218 tons), Greece (97 tons), Estonia (88 tons), Latvia (84 tons), Luxembourg (60 tons), Slovakia (64 tons), Austria (22 tons), Croatia (10 tons).

The export of Georgian hazelnuts was also made to Russia (540 tons), Turkey (530 tons), Belarus (284 tons), Brazil (186 tons), Ukraine (176 tons), Algeria (173 tons), Canada (136 tons) and others.
