Review of Georgian exports to China

Georgia exported 14,210 tons of copper to China worth $22.14 million in January 2020, Trend reports referring to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the reporting period, Georgia exported 162 tons of wine of ginger, saffron, turmeric, thyme, bay leaves, curry, and other spices worth $358,700 to China.

Meanwhile, 1.3 tons of medical equipment and appliances worth $786,200 were exported from Georgia to China.

Georgia also exported 598,700 tons of precious metals and concentrates worth $2.3 million to China.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $26.87 million to the Chinese market, which is 14.3 percent of total exports from Georgia.

Meanwhile, China's exports to Georgia amounted to $99.60 million, which comprises 8.9 percent of total imports to Georgia.
