Kazakhstan boosts production of some precious metals

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 348,417 kg over the period from Jan. through Apr. 2021, which is 13.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 84,106 kg in Apr. 2021, which is 11.2 percent more than in Apr. 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 15.7 percent during the reporting months, having amounted to 39,039 kg (9,863 kg in Apr. 2021, increase by 11.4 percent compared to Apr. 2020).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 516,114 tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 4.2 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 138,157 tons in Apr. 2021, which corresponds to the extraction production in Apr. 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 39,314 tons over the reporting period, which is 5.1 percent less than during the same period of 2020. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in Apr. 2021 was 10,933 tons, which is 0.9 percent less than in Apr. 2020.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 104,389 tons, which is 2.6 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (25,941 tons in Apr. 2021, up by 1.6 percent compared to Apr. 2020).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 164,200 tons, which is 0.6 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (41,041 tons in Apr. 2021, corresponds to the production volume in Apr. 2020).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 10,243 tons, which is 45.5 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (3,193 tons in Apr. 2021, decrease by 38.7 percent compared to Apr. 2020).
