Azerbaijani Azermash OJSC eyes to expand range of products

Azerbaijan’s Azermash OJSC is working to expand the range of assembled equipment, Trend reports referring to a source in the Russian Trade Representation in Azerbaijan.

According to the source, a working meeting of Russian Trade Representative in Azerbaijan Ruslan Mirsayapov and Senior Adviser of the Russian embassy in Baku Vasily Beldyugin with Chairman of the board of Azermash OJSC Emin Akhundov took place.

During the meeting, the first results of the assembly production of commercial vehicles of the Russian GAZ Group in the Hajigabul industrial quarter, the prospects for the assembly and sale of a wide range of specialized vehicles of this brand this year were discussed.

Akhundov said that due to the optimal ratio of price and quality, Russian cars assembled in Azerbaijan are in demand in the local market, noting that Azerbaijani consumers are confident in reliability of Russian equipment, and know all its advantages and features of operation.

"At present, Azermash is working to expand the range of assembled equipment. It plans to assemble specialized machines for Azerbaijani customers," the Azermash chairman said.

Akhundov especially noted the constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation with the GAZ Group on this project. The management and experts of the Russian company have built effective interaction with the Azerbaijani partner, contributed to the speedy commissioning of production.

The Azermash chairman is confident that such a model of cooperation will be of interest to other Russian manufacturers as well.

In the course of the meeting, the trade representative of Russia presented to the Azermash management the potential of enterprises of the Russian Dagestan Republic in terms of the production of auto components for freight and commercial vehicles.
