TEHRAN, Iran, June 5
Trend:
There is a recession in Iran's auto market due to anticipation for the presidential elections and achieving possible results in Vienna negotiations therefore buyers would avoid shopping, said the head of Auto Dealers Union.
There are no particular changes in price recently and the market is still in recession, said Saeed Motameni, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"Auto prices have increased by 30 million rial (about $714) compare to last week that was due to increase of USD rate, although this issue is not so effective since buyers are not interested to purchase cars at the moment. If auto makers have increased supply , the number of customers would rise even if USD rate increases," he added.
"We are against ordered price however in the condition of free auto import and there is no monopoly in the market then auto maker would supply its product with desired price and the customer would recognize if it is desirable or not," Motameni noted.
