BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. The phosphate concentrate production of Iran’s Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex in Yazd Province increased by about 12 percent during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
In 5 months, the complex produced a total of 26,762 tons of phosphate concentrate.
Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 23,923 tons.
As for the complex’s phosphate concentrate production in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2022), the production amounted to 5,431 tons on the mentioned month, which is an increase of 5 percent compared to the month last Iranian year.
At the same time, the complex extracted 115,115 tons of minerals in 5 months. Of this, 4,321 tons were sent to relevant companies.
The Esfordi Industrial & Mineral Complex is one of the affiliated companies of the IMIDRO and is located in 34 kilometers of Bafq County of Iran’s Yazd Province.
