SOCAR's geology and geophysics department completed two-dimension seismic research (2D) at Lokbatan-Puta-Gushhana, SOCAR said.
Productive layer and tectonic structure of deposits were studied during research.
Presently, processing and interpretation of data is held.
The department also completed preparation of equipment to conduct three-dimension seismic research at Bahar-2 offshore field. Repair of Baku and Geophysic ships completed. Operations are planned to be made from these ships.
SOCAR has placed equipment of TUCKER Company (USA) on Umid-1 platform. Exploring drilling is planned to be launched from this platform within many years.
Geophysics and geology department also conducted operations at LAM-B and Zhdanov Banka areas in Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea in June. Presently, preparation for continuation of operations on Zhdanov Banka is being conducted.
Two other ships of the company - M. Suleymanov and Geophysic-2 are involved in operations on offshore fields Hazri, Gilavar and Bulla-deniz in Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
