In 2011, the SOCAR-AQS company conducted drilling operations to the volume of 24,533 metres, which is one per cent more than those projected, the company's official website reported on Monday.
Industrial Association Azneft, part of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is the main customer of SOCAR-AQS operations.
"Drilling operations were conducted in full compliance with safety rules, without causing any harm to the environment and equipment," the report says.
Last year, SOCAR-AQS drilled eight wells and handed them over to the customer in the shallow part of the Guneshli field developed by SOCAR which self-funded the projects.
SOCAR-AQS was founded in 2007. The company's founders are: SOCAR - 51 per cent, and Absheron Qazma - 49 per cent.
