Danish Haldor Topsoe company focuses on cooperation with Turkmenistan

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Head of the Danish Haldor Topsoe company Bjorn Stephan Clausen, Trend reports referring to national Altyn Asyr TV channel.

The issues related to the application of environmentally friendly technologies at the enterprises of the Turkmen fuel and energy complex, as well as joint scientific work and the exchange of specialists were conisdered during the meeting.

The businessman expressed Haldor Topsoe company’s interest in further cooperation with Turkmenistan.

The president stressed that Turkmenistan attaches special importance to the attraction of foreign investments and introduction of high technologies.

Turkmenistan is interested in Denmark’s innovative technologies.

In particular, a gas chemical complex in Garabogaz city of Turkmenistan’s Balkan province has been provided with equipment made by Haldor Topsoe. The project worth $1.5 billion was implemented by the Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation in a consortium with the Turkish Gap Insaat company.

Furthermore, an enterprise for the production of synthetic gasoline has been recently commissioned in Ovadandepe near Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat. The Gas to Gasoline project (GTG) is also based on Haldor Topsoe technology. The enterprise has been created by a consortium of Japanese Kawasaki and Turkish Ronesans. The project worth $1.7 billion was implemented through the investments made by the Japanese side and Turkmengas state concern’s funds.
