Iran's ICOFC announces volume of gas extraction

The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) have extracted daily 241 million cubic meters of gas since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020), said Ahmad Rajabi Technical affairs director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, Trend reports citing the company’s official website.

The director stressed that thus, the ICOFC accounted for about 30 percent of Iran's total gas extraction and supplied about 37 percent of Iran’s gas consumption.

“Furthermore, the ICOFC and its subsidiaries - South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company, East Oil & Gas Production Company and West Oil & Gas Production Company are ready to do their best to supply gas to Iran in the winter,” he added.

Rajabi noted that the company can increase its extraction to 247 million cubic meters per day if it is necessary.

The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company extracts oil and gas from 28 fields. The company extracted 55.8 million barrels of oil and 89.8 billion cubic meters of gas in 16 months (from March 21, 2019, to July 21, 2020).
