Kazakhstan multifold decreases export of petroleum oils to Italy amid COVID-19

Kazakhstan has exported 116,806 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 29.2 million euros to Italy in October 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 3.3 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 964.9 million euros to Italy from Jan. through Oct. 2020.

Thus, the October volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Italy is 63.1 percent less than in volume compared to September 2020 (316,866 tons) and is 78.5 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (545,218 tons).

October’s export value is also 64.8 percent more than in September 2020 (83.2 million euros) and is 88.3 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (250.8 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and İtaly amounted to $6.2 billion over the first ten months of 2020, compared to $8.3 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to İtaly amounted to $5.4 billion over the period from January through Oct. 2020, compared to $6.8 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from İtaly amounted to nearly $751.4 million over the reporting period, compared to $1.4 billion during the same period of 2019.
