Kazakhstan boosts petroleum oil exports to Spain despite COVID-19

Kazakhstan has exported 554,880 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 149.6 million euros to Spain in October 2020, Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 3.4 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 934.8 million euros to Spain from Jan. through Oct. 2020.

Thus, the October volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Spain is 53.09 percent more compared to September 2020 (362,453 tons) and is 2.1 times more than in Jan. 2020 (173,605 tons).

October export value is also 58.6 percent more than in September 2020 (94.3 million euros) and is 75.1 percent more than in Jan. 2020 (85.4 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Spain amounted to $1.04 billion over the first ten months of 2020, compared to $2.1 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Spain amounted to $887.6 million over the period from January through Oct. 2020, compared to $2.04 million during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Spain amounted to nearly $155.8 million over the reporting period, compared to $152.2 million during the same period of 2019.
