French Rothschild & Co expressed readiness to assist Uzbekistan in attracting companies to implement projects in the field of the nuclear industry, Trend reports referring to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France.
The representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France held a meeting with the management of Rothschild & Co, during which they discussed the implementation of joint projects.
During the talks, information was provided on transformations in the political and economic life of Uzbekistan, new large-scale reforms, investment and social projects being implemented.
The meeting noted the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan in the Aral Sea region and the work of the Multi-Partner Trust Fund for Human Security for the Aral Sea region. It was also noted that the French side was invited to take an active part in the project.
Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rothschild & Co Baron Eric de Rothschild thanked the Uzbek side for assistance in organizing the visit of the company's representatives to Uzbekistan in December last year and expressed the interest of European business circles in promoting reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, including in the field of ‘green’ and nuclear, oil and gas energy, finance and privatization of state assets.
In addition, the member of the Supervisory Board of the Rothschild & Co group, Baroness Arielle Malard de Rothschild, noted that in recent years, there have been good shifts in all sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan. In this context, she informed that there are successful agreements with the Ministry of Finance and Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
