The Loshan Shahid Beheshti Thermal Power Plant in the Gilan Province (northern Iran) generated 823,000 megawatt-hours of electricity during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), an official of Loshan Power Generation Management Company Kambiz Moradi said, Trend reports citing Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company.
According to him, about 786,000 megawatt-hours of the generated electricity have been supplied to Iran's electricity network.
Moradi added that about 55 percent of the total electricity generated by steam units, while 45 percent by gas units.
The official noted that the Loshan Shahid Beheshti TPP can generate 360 megawatt hours of electricity in total. The power plant has two steam units with a capacity to generate 120 megawatt-hours of electricity each, and two gas units with a capacity to generate 60 megawatt-hours each.
