The Gilan Combined Cycle Power Plant in the Gilan Province (northern Iran) generated 466,000 megawatt-hours of electricity in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021 through January 20, 2022), an official of Gilan Regional Electric Company (GILREC), Mohsen Babazadeh said, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Energy Ministry.
According to Babazadeh, the electricity generation capacity of the power plant is 1,300 megawatt-hours.
The official added that the Gilan Combined Cycle Power Plant is considered the largest power plant in the province
The Gilan Combined Cycle Power Plant was put into operation in 1992. The power plant has 6 gas units and 3 steam units.
