Iran’s West Oil & Gas Production Company plans to boost extraction

Iran’s West Oil and Gas Production Company plans to increase oil extraction by 22 percent and gas extraction by 10 percent in the next Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Executive Director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), Ramin Hatami said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

The director noted that in this regard, it is planned to increase daily extraction from Sumar, Saman and Delavaran, Danan, Naft shahr oil fields by about 22,000 barrels.

“The company also plans to increase the daily extraction from the second phase of the Dehloran oil field to 40,000 barrels with the development of the mentioned phase,” he added.

According to Hatami, within the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through February 19, 2022), the West Oil and Gas Production Company fulfilled its annual plan for oil extraction by 99 percent and for gas extraction by 96 percent.

Iran's West Oil and Gas Production Company are one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The company has been operating since 1999 and covers the Kermanshah, Ilam and Lorestan provinces of Iran. The company can produce 165,000 barrels of crude oil and 7 million cubic meters of gas per day.

Over the next 10 years, the company plans to increase crude oil production by 440,000 barrels and gas production by 15 million cubic meters per day.
