TEHRAN, Iran, June 7. Iranian government seeks diplomatic cooperation and contracts with neighboring countries in joint management of water resources and rivers, said the Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"The government's policy is to promote bilateral contacts and cooperation with neighboring countries for proper use of water resources and protecting environment," he said at the Second Water Action Decade Conference in Tajikistan.
He pointed out that Iran's High Council of Water is working on the proper use of technology and adaptable plans for water shortage and it is ready to hold joint meetings with neighbors to exchange experiences.
The Second High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028" was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
