BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. In 2022, investments of Fluxys Belgium in property, plant and equipment amounted to €105.5 million as opposed to €50.6 million in 2021, Trend reports.
As such, the company’s investments in these fields more than doubled year-on-year.
Of this amount, €67.7 million was dedicated to LNG infrastructure projects and €36.8 million to transmission projects.
Fluxys Belgium is an independent operator of the high-pressure natural gas transmission network, the natural gas storage infrastructure and the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Zeebrugge. It operates 12,000 km of pipeline for gas transmission across Europe and in Brazil. Fluxys Belgium manages liquefied natural gas terminals in Belgium, France, Greece and Chile, with a total yearly regasification capacity of 380 TWh. It stores natural gas at the underground gas storage facility in Loenhout, Belgium.
