TAP consortium unveils gas flow nominations for interconnections

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG consortium publicly disclosed the gas flow nominations for interconnections for August 7, Trend reports.

The Kipoi interconnection in Greece is scheduled to receive 333,316,123 kWh of gas on that date. Meanwhile, the Komotini interconnection has registered exit nominations of 42,024,757 kWh, and the Nea Mesimvria interconnection has recorded 13,354,082 kWh for gas entry and 30,346,301 kWh for gas exit on the same day.

Additionally, the Melendugno interconnection reported gas exit nominations of 271,999,147 kWh for August 7.

As a pivotal element of the Southern Gas Corridor in Europe, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline plays a vital role in bolstering the continent's energy security, diversifying energy sources, and supporting the journey towards decarbonization. With an impressive transportation capacity of around 10 billion cubic meters of gas annually, the pipeline has the potential to expand its capacity to 20 billion cubic meters. By providing a dependable source of natural gas, TAP contributes significantly to Europe's access to a new and sustainable energy resource.
