BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 4. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG consortium has made the gas flow nominations for interconnections on September 4 public, Trend reports.
On that date, the Kipoi interconnection in Greece is set to receive 351,016,476 kWh of gas. Simultaneously, the Komotini interconnection has registered exit nominations of 42,024,757 kWh for September 4 and 28,670,675 kWh for September 5. Additionally, the Nea Mesimvria interconnection has recorded 13,354,082 kWh for gas entry, along with 31,546,301 kWh and 30,346,301 kWh for gas exit on September 4 and September 5, respectively.
Furthermore, the Melendugno interconnection has reported gas exit nominations of 289,699,500 kWh and 249,908,331 kWh for September 4 and September 5, respectively.
As a pivotal component of the Southern Gas Corridor in Europe, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline plays a crucial role in enhancing the continent's energy security, promoting diversification of energy sources, and supporting the journey towards decarbonization. With a remarkable annual transportation capacity of approximately 10 billion cubic meters of gas, the pipeline also possesses the potential to expand its capacity to 20 billion cubic meters. By offering a reliable source of natural gas, TAP significantly contributes to Europe's access to a new and sustainable energy resource.
